MikroTik allows you to quickly backup and also to restore router’s full configuration. You can store backup files both on the memory of a device itself as well as on your computer – file storage.
In the video below, you can see the demonstration of the easiest way to do it using WinBox, GUI application.

You will need your MikroTik credentials to perform a backup or restore on your device. The default username for MikroTik is “admin”, and the password field remains empty.
Connect your PC to one of the unused “ETH” ports on the router, using an ethernet cable, and follow the instructions on the video below.
